Hi Alan, I appreciate your input here. I think you're right that it can be dangerous to chain ourselves to one side of a false dichotomy (with art at one end and science at the other). Just like most things in life, the key to success is a healthy balance of both sides. For me personally, however, leaning more heavily on the scientific side of design has led to my best work and ultimately higher client satisfaction. Thanks for the comment!
