Hi Chris, I appreciate your thoughts and criticisms. I'd like to note that in the first paragraph of my 5th point, I concede that art can indeed be taught. There's no dispute here about whether one can learn art technique. However, I argue that often those who rise to glorious heights in the art realm tend to be gifted with innate talent. And that's not to say that these artists *didn't* work hard; I'm sure they did. The point I make here is that it takes little to no innate talent to rise to similar heights in the world of UX.
